Philippines, as a tropical country is blessed with variety of tropical fruits. One of these fruits is the Carabao Mangoes or popularly known as Guimaras Mangoes.
In some articles (may it be in news or blog sites), the Philippine mango was listed as the sweetest fruit in the world in the 1995 Guinness Book of World Records. It claims that it is home of the world’s sweetest mangoes, though I can’t verify it yet as it has no records shown in Guinness World Records.
“What’s in the pizza? The basic ingredients are: pizza or tomato sauce, cheese, green bell pepper, cashew nuts and MANGOES!”
The Guimaras Island is one of the famous islands of the Philippines that is known for its sweetest Carabao Mangoes. The Guimaras mangoes are reportedly served in the White House and Buckingham Palace.
The Guimaras mangoes or the mango variety produced in Guimaras are also best for jams, dried mangoes and other food products. One establishment has discovered another use of mangoes, on pizzas! Yes, mango pizza, a fruity and tangy twist for pizzas. It’s not prepared like the usual “Hawaiian pizzas” where we find pineapples so expect a totally different one. If you’re a mango-lover, it’s a MUST-TRY!
